Hermes* is a plugin that I created for this website. I have decided to make it available for free to WordPress users.
The plugin prefetches and prerenders the next/previous page links, thus speeding up loading times for those browsing.
To install Hermes into WordPress, log into your blog’s dashboard and click on Plugins. Click on “Upload Plugin” and browse your drive to find the Hermes .zip file. Once uploaded, click Activate. No configuration of the plugin required. It should work straight away – if it doesn’t, try clearing your WordPress cache.
*Hermes is an Olympian god in Greek religion and mythology, the son of Zeus and the Pleiad Maia, and the second youngest of the Olympian gods (Dionysus being the youngest). Hermes was the emissary and messenger of the gods. His sandals, called pédila by the Greeks, were made of palm and myrtle branches but were described as beautiful, golden and immortal, able to take the roads with the speed of wind.
