Rain On Window

Rain, Rain, Go Away

The Beacon Museum, Whitehaven

One Year Old

Hello. I'm Sean. Welcome to my photography website. I'm located in West Cumbria, close to Whitehaven and feel blessed. I've got the Sea, the Lakes and the Mountains on my doorstep. This is a beautiful area and has been a draw to many people for hundreds of years. As this website grows, you'll get to see much more of the County, and given ideas of places to visit in the Lake District.

Recommended: Lake District Walks | Lake District Prints.

Ansel Adams - A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed in the deepest sense, and is, thereby, a true expression of what one feels about life in its entirety.

Aaron Siskind - Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.

Henri Cartier-Bresson - To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy.

Cumbria, North West England: The third largest county in England. Predominantly rural and contains the Lake District and Lake District National Park, considered one of England's most outstanding areas of natural beauty, serving as inspiration for artists, writers, and musicians. Much of Cumbria is mountainous, and it contains every peak in England over 3,000 feet above sea level, with Scafell Pike being the highest point of England. The lake district is popular with visitors from around the world, and attracts around 18 million tourists annually, many of whom stay in local accommodation on short, or long breaks. If you are looking for an energetic hiking holiday, or relaxation with lakeside panoramic views, Cumbria should be high on your itinerary.
